Buffers change on a daily basis? So that means I can't drop a trip two weeks from now because scheduling doesn't know what the buffer will be until that day arrives? Does anyone else see a problem with this?

No not at all, makes perfect sense
. I loved how when the guy asked about being able to drop/swap via IOCC they told him "you are able to do it automatically, if the buffer is high enough" well I donno about you guys but I have yet to be able to do it via IOCC.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Absolutely see a problem with this and see it only getting worse now that we have a staffing issue. Pretty much at any time all trip trades and drops can be denied for "buffer" levels.

Does anyone honestly think our union will actually prevail for us? Every since this new MEC, I have been less than pleased with how they are handling things. Maybe if we got more communication on a weekly basis rather than a monthly basis I will have a different view of them.

Couple of points. On a personal level as a three year Captain, I am THRILLED that I will be babysitting new hire F/O's who can't fly their way out of a wet paper bag that will be literally earning 80% of what I do. Secondly, FORGET ABOUT ANY FLOW TO HA, SWA OR ANYWHERE ELSE for that matter. HA just announced a new application window and stated that after the last one closed they had received a bit over 1000 apps, interviewed around 220 and hired 108. A whopping 10% of those who applied. As far as SWA as anyone who tried to register for their latest job fair can attest, they are in no way, shape or form hurting for applicants. If it does happen, well, I will remove that hat on my head as I will no longer need it and eat it.

Thanks man! I actually know that guy. We don't have to worry about him taking a spot at any mainline anytime soon. He actually text me saying they will be taking over for Compass next year.
Just try and focus on getting out and don't waste energy on the trolls. There will always be 5% of every company that has cringeworthy people posting nonsense.

In all seriousness, did an FA really ask for a bonus? I almost choked.
