Airline Demands Squeezing Bizav Pilot Supply

It can't be "hiring faster than ever" and "less fast than a year ago."
It looks like it's going to be less in 2024 than it was in 2023 and perhaps 2022.
Still huge pressure on the lower tier jobs which is great for the people who got into flying 1-3 up to 6-8 years ago.

Delta forecast of 1,000 for 2024 will place it as number 5 of the last 20 years, for hiring.
Significantly less than 2023 and 2022. Just barely less than 2 other pre-Covid years.
Delta, and the other 3 major PAX airlines will continue to put extreme pressure on Bizav, regionals, etc.

Although hiring has receded slightly from post-covid peaks, airline hiring proceeds at a pace that would have been considered amazing anytime from 1903 to 2019.
More importantly, it is removing experienced pilots from the hiring pool far faster than they can be replaced ... so even though hiring is slowing down the situation will probably still get worse.

FlexJet just increased their minimum TT for applicants (per APC post). If true that seems to indicate that they're supply is decent enough?

It will be interesting to see if the supply problems stay as bad as they are/were in the lower tier jobs. Company recently struggled to get applicants but has a bunch now. No idea why there was a gap in hiring/supply.
