Big corporate outfits.

A big corporate outfit doesn't necessarily have the most planes...
Chrysler actually doesn't even have a flight department, they have a company called Pentastar do most of their flying. GM and Ford are about the same size. I know Ford had last year approximately 2 GV's a Fokker 70 as a shuttle, and 3 Falcons. They really aren't that big, just have high-paid jobs. I guess I'm not really looking for large as-in a lot of planes, just nice planes with very high paying jobs and a lot of perks.

I suppose I could make more money at a larger corp. or at fractional, but I'm payed very fairly for what I do and have a good QOL. I'm home just about every night and my family's happy. I just knock wood that it continues. Good small flight departments are out there - probably more than you'd ever think.

True.
Yeah, I agree there are some nice one's. Shoot, I may just stay at my current company to retire. It seems that small places can be eliminated easier than a larger company's operation. Not to say they're not all dispensable. I wouldn't be surprised if Ford starts cutting back their department. It seems like one of the first places to start cutting costs is flight departments. That aside, I think Corporate may be the future best jobs in aviation. In some ways they are right now. No one knows, I guess.

Agreed on the QOL being better. The only reservation about corporate from me is the sitting in bad FBO's waiting for a heads up call that is only five minutes.
From my experience at WMT, everyone was happy with QOL, the pay was decent, but there was a bit of attitude about the lack of advancement. There was only one Global and one Challenger and it was shared between a pool of 25 pilots. If you have further ambitions, it could be a bit frustrating.

Wow, I would have really thought they'd of had more planes than that, they must fly the hell out of the planes they have cause I see them on the road quite abit. BTW even though Pentastar is it's own company, it's really a Chrysler company and wouldn't exist with out Chrysler.

Below average. I am sorry that I can't provide any statisitics. The cost of living is very low in the area and there are some perks by being a WallyWorld employee. I'm sure other corporate gigs have the same. It is a very nice area to live in as well.

That's not really true. Chrysler owned Pentastar until they were bought out by Daimler. They then sold Pentastar to Mr. Ford. Pentastar still manages
DC's to GVs and does the ground handling in PTK.
