There may be more GV's out there, but theres a lot more GV pilots..
Whats your goal? contract work? I turn down quite a bit of 7X contract work at $1500+/day. I don't do much, don't register with anyone, and still have been getting calls. Im guessing theres just a lack of qualified 7X people avail lately. Maybe its the same situation in GV world also.
Personally, I might pick the one that my connections in the US fly. Neither one will have an advantage over the other without some strong leads. Not many good GV/7X outfits hire by the rating.
Good Luck!

NC, I have three years to fly either aircraft here in China, but when I do return home (U.S.) I think I may want to fly contract, unless I stumble on a company that pays and has QL somewhere close to what I have here in Asia...
Also, maybe by the time I get back, more 7x's will be running around, with few pilots.

Still don't think you can go wrong either way. FWIW I also get calls on Global gigs and contract work, I find it's a very popular contract aircraft.
Have fun either way you decide!

A bit of a left turn on the topic here, but... I didn't think the folks in Asia were typing pilots. I have been led to believe that you must have time in type to be competitive.

WMU, yes you are correct, but once you are established with a company in China, they (seem) to usally want to retain you, as they recognize the demand for foreign pilots. I do see a few companies here that are hiring NON TYPE pilots, but keep in mind, you may have to sign for 5 yrs, rather than 3 yrs.
