Only thing worse than the Northface crowd are the "senior slobs" (mostly DEN CA's). Guys in full uniform compliance by definition only. Old striped tie that is splitting and curling up at the end with a knot that looks like a 3 year old tied it, wrinkled off-white shirts that haven't seen bleach or a dry cleaner since they were produced, London fog coats that are so tattered and faded, they'd look more at home in an '86 Ford van at Chris Hanson's "Sting" house, and beat up old Payless loafers from their interview in 1994.
The uniform only looks professional when you wear it professionally.

I'd be happy with a flight suit (utilitarian.) Contrary to what most fancy themselves, we are not white collar workers. We are not "officers." We are laborers, workers, equipment operators. We don't even interact with the public like in the old days. The FA's do, but pilots, not so much. Stuff us in the cockpit, let us be comfortable, uniformed reasonably, to operate our machinery.
Regardless, any of us have veto power where safety is concerned (thanks FAA).

Because the funeral homes are on lockdown. No one is being buried. Where do you suggest they put the bodies lying in wait??
Again fake news.. This is not due to the virus killing too many people. it is the reaction of the government shuddering businesses which would normally bury these bodies.

Don’t know where your head is, but evidently it hasn’t been the dictionary. It’s “shuttering.” “Shuddering” is what reasoned, educated people are doing in reaction to some of your posts.
Social distancing is not responsible for a sudden inability to handle an oversupply of fresh corpses.

Google “Keith Redding lung damage” and watch a doctor walk through the severe damage suffered by a 59-yo nonsmoker before he was hospitalized. After watching that if you still think it’s like the flu, you’re hopeless.
Of course, one would have to accept science, 3-D modeling, and decades of medical experience and training ... nah! I’ll just “believe” what I want and reject everything else.
Many years ago you were the guys saying man wouldn’t fly, people couldn’t breathe above 20 stories up, and spirits caused sickness ... glad progress continues even through human fear and failings. Darwin will win, though..

Some majors at least have a slightly different outlook. We are still expected to provide some "adult supervision" at the pointy end of the operation, where the line sups may have a GED. There is also a hope (sometimes realized, sometimes not), that we'll take the initiative and smooth the process when we see an opportunity. It's not that much different than my military officer role.

Science and reason aren’t panic. But your words reflect panic—as well as an selfish prioritization of your own personal interest above anything else.

'So if you question Fauci that makes you a non believer in science?? Fauci was wrong and is talking out both sides of his a** right now. Your thinking is dangerous and you are the one that is simple minded.
His numerous miscalculations ruined our economy and will be responsible for more deaths than the virus itself.

No, not at all. If one believes Fauci “ruined our economy” is what is simple-minded. It’s not dangerous unless it’s shared by someone powerful...oops, well is IS dangerous!
And right to name-calling, Trumprangutan move no. 1? Do you people ever have a positive, reality-based suggestion? Or is it always someone else’s fault? Even were your fantasy true, Fauci is an appointee doing what he’s hired to do. Why not blame the simple-minded person who hired Fauci, or empowers him? Oh, that’s not in your programming, right? Critical think, much?

Looking at majorpilot’s post history it’s easy to see he’s self-important and feels the need to spread his drivel throughout APC. There is no rhyme or reason why or where he elects to enlighten the internet. But suffice it to say, today is F9’s day to sit back and endure his spam. Like the virus, he will be forgotten.
So to get back on track...What are the odds that we survive this? High enough I don’t advocate anybody selling their North Face jacket. I feel there are going to be plenty of opportunities to show it off on the A Concourse in Denver. Cheers everyone
