The most glaring moment to me though was when he said, and I’m paraphrasing, “there are 15 cases, and it’s going to go down to zero very soon”. A bald faced lie, or just a statement that was WAY out of line with common sense. Either way, indefensible for the president to say while speaking to a national audience. Who knows who didn’t take precautions because “well it can’t be that bad if it’s gonna be zero cases soon” then died from WuFlu...
as an aside, it’s kind of childish to want to see other Americans “crying” for any reason. Yeah I clearly want trump to lose, and if he loses I’m not gonna relish in the tears of my fellow Americans who share different political viewpoints as me. I‘m going to hope the new guy institutes policies which help all of us, and hold him accountable if he doesn’t. Grow up.

Well, it’s after Easter and I’m still in my basement. He pedaled false hope and down played the impact from his podium for weeks for his own vanity. He also refused to set a national coordinated FEMA response while leaving the tough decisions to governors. Now he wants to command the upswing. I couldn’t disagree more. He got a few things right but for the wrong reasons. Closing China travel was about the trade war and chloroquine was grasping at straws knowing the research wasn’t done so he could pump the potential. BTW a definitive study is still not completed and won’t be for some time but I’m glad to hear anecdotal results that have benefited some people.
So would the response be the same for New York and New Mexico? He has handed the major decisions on shutdowns and openings to governors. We are a republic and federalist society for a reason.

Regardless once this virus situation is over (vaccine or runs its course like the spanish flu did), ask yourself which person would be better to get this country's economy and jobs back to work? Trump or Biden? Biden will work to undo Trump's tax cuts, which includes increasing business/corporate tax rates. In a global recession that kinda thing is the last thing you need. Businesses create jobs. Most people are not self-employed. I already know who I'm voting for this November. And I'm not voting based on twitter, or narcissism, or who he offends. He needs to be re-voted because he is the better candidate to get the economy back.

There's some good news from the University of Chicago hospital that is conducting clinical trials for Remdesivir.
Excellent news, if it pans out. HCL has anecdotal evidence for working, but they've been mum on the clinical trials of that drug...which by now, something would've leaked out if the results were encouraging. Gotta say I'm not feeling good about HCL anymore.
Remdesivir looks like it might be on the fast track as a treatment by the FDA, and Gilead stock price has gone up a bit.
Here's to hoping that it's scaleable to treat millions in short order. Because if we have to wait for 350+million test kits and rolling isolation procedures, it will take months, if not years to get back to a semblance of normal.
