Neurosurgeons are reporting a spike in ischemic strokes in young C19 patients. Wild stuff. Of course, nothing confirmed, and this is all anecdotal...so add salt to taste.

I couldn’t figure out why after intubating my patients and getting good bag compliance and tidal volume I couldn’t get the O2 and Etco2 up. Turns out the low oxygen saturation is not caused by a deficiency in the lungs but more of a lack of bloods ability to carry the oxygen. I guess as of now the key to saving lives appears to be in figuring out how to stop iron ions from breaking out of the blood cells. As you know everyday the protocols are changing

Makes sense. Could be why they’re seeing ferritin levels skyrocket to levels that are orders of magnitude high...but I’m not very smart on that process/mechanism.

Not to be a stickler, but it killed about 50k in April alone and was rapidly increasing until we literally shut down the economy. I'm all for opening the economy back up, but if someone tells me there's a bear in the woods, I'll at least know the risks and take precautions when I go in the woods.

And then how willfully myopic do you have to be to tell me food and shelter are essential, yet earning a living to buy them isn't. They guy who sold flowers for 30 years to support his family?
