Totally not an angry mob.

If a Michigan State Trooper dies of COVID-19 will you retract your statement? Or will you hand wave it away like you do with all other facts?

Lighten up man. Nothing I've said is waving away facts. I also never said I didn't like what you're saying. I have no problem with what you're saying. I'm just bringing up other factors to consider. Normal debate. Nothing about me not liking you. I'm sure we aren't that different. Its ok to have different viewpoints and reasonably talk about them. Its what makes this country great. Are they actually angry? Sure, thats why they are protesting. Are they actually resulting to violence, no. Would I go about it like this? Not entirely. Like I said before, its within their rights to have their arms. Do I think they are needed or wise in this situation? No. Do I think the noose and threat of hanging is appropriate? No. Would I dismiss an officer dying in the line of duty? No. But using that idea of making him a martyr for COVID is thin. If an officer was clipped by a car on a traffic stop and died, no one would know about it because the "news" won't parrot it 24/7. Only the family and friends of the departed would care. Aka daily life and thats not right or wrong, its just life.
..

If if if if if.

As long as we're dealing with hypotheticals, what if you urinate your pants but somebody else wears a hat and a cat gets trapped in a tree? Did I get the meme right?

Yeah right, who ya gonna believe? Me or your lying eyes!

Automatic Weapons, check
Noose and signs threatening a lynching, check
Screaming nonsense slogans, check
Swastikas, check
Confederate Flags, check
POTUS calling them "very good people, but their angry", check

Now seriously, you contend that their actions are just part of the lamestream media's narrative to paint them as an angry white mob?

I agree. Outside the scope of APC I'm sure most everyone is here is likeable and wants the best for themselves, their families, and the country.

Here's the problem with the scenario above. It's BOTH a rightful protest AND an exposure risk. So which takes priority? Casually dismissing the exposure risk of those troopers as "part of the job" is comparable to shrugging off gun violence against police. At least in a shootout, law enforcement can defend themselves. In this situation the MSP troopers just had to stand there and let those knuckledraggers infect them.

There's a likely possibility someone will get become sick and die due to today's events. And it may not even be someone who took the chance and went to the rally. It might be one of the state troopers. It might be an elderly bystander at the grocery store who gets too close to one of these unmasked rebels 3 days later. Or it could be an immuno-compromised daughter of a protester.

The point is you can't know the permutations of how this spreads. By the time anyone feels regret for how casually they treated COVID-19, it's too late.

I was pleased with the action. I have a friend from Michigan who insist all redneck radical rights are here in the South ... This just solidified my argument they everywhere.

But you can count on the media plastering the white-guy photos all over their stories while you sit behind the safety and pacifier of your 'safer-at-home' computer screen. OK, now go back to playing your video games.
Ancedotial or do you have some pictures you took.

Not to be a stickler, but it killed about 50k in April alone and was rapidly increasing until we literally shut down the economy. I'm all for opening the economy back up, but if someone tells me there's a bear in the woods, I'll at least know the risks and take precautions when I go in the woods.

You don't see minorties because they're working- driving Amazon trucks, garbage trucks, stocking grocery shelves, toiling away at construction sites. I haven't seen one white person doing any of these jobs over the last month. Perhaps if they lose their careers they just dig down and hustle to make a buck because the world keeps turning, while other instead grab their rifles and storm capitols. Just one man's theory. Make of that what you will but that's the reality here.
