I come here to test my own opinions where sometimes I’m exposed to things I’ve overlooked, if you can’t even stand to be willing to expose your opinions to competing lines of argument you have lost the ability to critically think and you are in fact a little insulated fountain of disinformation yourself!

I can find plenty of echo chambers for my own opinions. I like this (when it is at its best) because I appreciate the different opinions and the focus on all information, not just the information that I “feel” is correct. I like it when people defend a position with facts not feelings. That is how science is supposed to work, not this new idea that science is like religion and you should be censored if you challenge the accepted holy dogma.

Spot on…. It’s the act of wrangling the truth out which is critically lacking in many people today like jtbost. If it’s full of misinformation why stay on it?

Unless you’re a doctor or a virologist, I’m not sure why you’d think I’d value your “opinion” on the vaccine or the Covid situation in general? I come on here to get airline info because I miss being in the game. Instead I’m continually frightened by the things I see here, and how it continues to contribute to the spread and deaths worldwide. I only hope that most of these folks never see the inside of a commercial cockpit.

Geeze…. Ok, take what you are told by the people in authority without any questions, ignore any doubts or inconsistencies because they are beyond question! That’s not a good place to be. You should constantly be questioning everything. Just like in the cockpit you should be skeptical and constantly reassessing. If you solely come here for airline info perhaps you should stay out of the Covid 19 threads. You say you’ve been out of “out of the game” and I appreciate that. But also understand that those of us “in the game” get to experience different states and countries on a weekly basis and get to see the range of policies ranging from Australia all the way to Mexico on the other side. From the absurd to the ultra lax. What many are saying is the optimal mitigation policies lie somewhere inbetween.Sorry but we can can share our opinions here and in many cases are more informed than you even if you choose to disagree, but I respect and welcome that disagreement because it helps form (and sometimes) change my opinion….. You apparently cannot. You said you don’t care about my opinions on vaccines or the Covid situation…… well I never gave them, just my opinion on your noncontributory “misinformation” comment!

I don’t disagree - I’ve never linked to a paper I wrote here to support a position. I tend to find people that are actual doctors and researchers (not politicians and performers) to listen to. There are a lot more very credible voices out there right now with concerns about the accepted dogma that are being actively suppressed in the name of fighting disinformation. If you search hard you can find them, before they are banned on Twitter or whatever. I am not talking about 5G- Bill Gates nonsense - I am talking about researchers that have worked with MRNA since the beginning, and extensively published MDs that have been asked to testify before Congress.
