Default Type 1 plus Type 4 = Cov. type 2?

Is anyone changing their deice procedures to leave a bleed source on, in order to keep airflow moving in the cabin this winter?

I know that flying has been found to be really safe with regards to virus transmission, but sitting on a ramp for 20 minutes in a stagnant sealed tube...maybe not?

If *they* would really care *they* would leave the middle seat open and stagger the others.
So no...I would not be concerned about deicing.

No need to change anything for two very important reasons
1. Everyone is wearing the all mighty mask. They are 99.99% “safe”................
2. Airlines care about social distancing while boarding and deplaning and even while sitting next to someone.

So no need to change procedures don’t over think it. Just keep your mask on while being de iced and everything will be fine.........

Yeah, it seems like we stopped blocking the middle seats just in time for type 4 season. Legitimately should be blocked if you are sitting on a ramp for an extended period. Prior to now it was probably overkill.

Is this a joke? China is fully open, and completely deleted covid from the news. Yet we’re asking questions like this. This is why the US is about to fall.

Who pays for that middle seat? If you block 1/3 of the capacity, you have to either raise fares by 50% for those that are left, or the company operates every flight at a loss. It was a great PR campaign when the planes were empty, but not when you can sell that seat. With demand slowly improving, they need to generate as much revenue as possible to reduce the cash burn.

Some airlines still block middle seats.

?? Are you suggesting we follow China's method here? Probably true, it's also pretty clear that Western cultures can't pull off the type of lockdowns they do in China. We also have free press, we don't delete things from the news. And most of us prefer it that way.
