Absence of evidence that SARS-CoV-2 vaccination doesn't prevent transmission isn't evidence transmission prevention is absent.
There simply isn't enough data yet to make a definitive statement...so scientists equivocate until they have that data.
Then again, the overwhelming majority of existing vaccines prevent not only illness but symptoms so there's little reason to suspect SARS-CoV-2 vaccines will be any different.

In context he said we'd have to continue public health measures until ~70% get vaccinated. If it's the same interview I was watching.
Also the "big pharma" mistrust is kind of funny. Most of the people peddling this mistrust on NewsMax or talk radio are taking boner pills they get from Big Pharma. How's Rush Limbaugh's cancer fight going? I'm sure he's drinking carrot juice and forgoing chemo and medications, you know big pharma.

How about "eventually"...
think many are saying they don't want the be first in line, even if they can get it....the risks of unknown issues are worse than the low risk of covid-19 for most reasonably healthy people.
Sure there will be a few snowflakes that have issues with saying this, but let's face it why take a health risk with lifetime implications to avoid an issue that been amplified for political reasons until you absolutely have too.
Everyday you wait is more data...
Frankly, I haven't stopped traveling, working, amd a vaccine doesn't have the benefit of no mask use etc.
