Imo the government is going to have to offer testing in leu for government contractors for employers that don’t want to mandate for whatever reason. Hospitals in my area are passing out religious exemptions like candy no questions asked in an attempt to solve staffing issues. It’s going to end up setting a bad precedence as that’s not really the intent of religious exemption law. We’ll see what happens.

If more CEOs who CLAIM to be against mandates did exactly this, handing out exemptions like candy, the mandates themselves would quickly crumble. It would be an interesting First Amendment case if the government tried to argue that exemption holders weren't "religious enough" to have earned the exemption.

That battle has long ago been fought and settled... for draft dodgers. The gov has some discretion in granting conscientious objector status.

I’m sure some employers are looking to scape goat the government and some legitimately are against them. Depending on industry, % already vaccinated, cost’s (undue burden) ect….

F9’s plan is either get the government to full mandate or pay for testing in leu.

The next gen of vaccines are in trials right now(e.g. Moderna mRNA-1283), they fix a lot of the problems with the first vaccines, and do a significantly better job mimicking natural immunity. There is very good reason for waiting.

And then the gov’t can mandate those as well, even for the ALREADY vax’d……

What can go wrong?

You forgot the part where the government pitts the “new vaxxed” people against the “old vaxxed”.

We get flu shot boosters every year, so if you got two shots already why does it matter to get another?
