As a fully vaccinated person, are you uncomfortable flying next to a pilot that hasn't got the booster? Or the vaccination?

I’m been trying to understand this logic since United instituted the mandate:

It’s unsafe for an unvaccinated pilot to sit next to you. However it is safe to allow an offline jumpseater (with an unknown vaccination status) sit behind you.

The company argument for the mandate was that the vaccine greatly reduces the chances of serious illnesses or death if infected and that they wanted their employees to be vaccinated and encourage everyone else to as well. Here are a few other questions…..

Why do we advertise to United customers that our public facing employees are 100% vaccinated when half of our branded flights are by UAX companies with no mandate?

What threat is an unvaccinated jumpseater when we deadhead shoulder to shoulder with 170 others with unknown vaccine status?

Why worry about the jumpseater and then go sit in a crowed restaurant, church, or other public event with a bunch of unmasked strangers?

And finally, what are the odds of the TSA extending the mask mandate until everyone gets the booster? My guess is that we’re still wearing them a year from now.

The unvaccinated one is who should be worried, unfortunately these people are to dumb to understand that.

Soooo - if someone's already had Covid and tests positive for antibodies, they're to(o) dumb to understand that they need to be vaccinated? That's really sciency.

Maybe so.
But let's face it: the ones out flying... out shopping... out in public... well, they aren't worried.

if these so called vaccines and boosters really work and are so safe then why aren’t companies and govt entities that mandate them stand behind them?
Let the company play Russian roulette and accept the medical liability and payments as a result of their mandate! Once again if you feel safe taking it then that’s great, but as always it should be a choice!
