Every single case I have seen reported thus far (Japan, Europe, USA) has been in a vaccinated person. Can they find any unvaccinated people with this thing? Or better yet, have they had a single documented case of someone with natural immunity contracting this new variant? Or is that not important information?
Dude try this drink called Brawndo! It’s got electrolytes!!!

If you read the article, the speculation was based on anecdotes... specifically known omicron patients who didn't infect anybody else despite multiple close contacts. But certainly not definitive and I made that clear.

More hints that omicron might be mild, little to no symptoms for those infected in Europe.

Still need more data though, early cases may spread among university students.

It’s called “single variable thinking.” They see ONE variable and react without consideration to all the other variables in the equation.
In this case, the variable is Omicron. ZERO consideration of who is getting it (anecdotally, the vaccinated). ZERO consideration of seriousness of the disease in the infected (so far, mild symptoms and low hospitalization and mortality). ZERO consideration of the overall risk profile (apparently minimal).
FEAR, fire, aim is more like it.

What are the carrier rates for N meningitidis?
Updated: Aug 13, 2019- Author: Mahmud H Javid, MBBS; Chief Editor: John L Brusch, MD, FACP more...
- References
Approximately 2% of children younger than 2 years, 5% of children up to 17 years, and 20-40% of young adults are carriers of N meningitidis. Overcrowded conditions (eg, schools, military camps) can significantly increase the carrier rate. (See Pathophysiology, Etiology, and Epidemiology.)
=inheritScreening of military recruits performed during recent epidemics demonstrated that, although as many as 95% of recruits were orophaygeL carriers.
