To rub their democrats noses in the pee pee carpet that they left. Make them realize their stupidity.
The government shutdown 4 times a week for almost 60 hrs.
Life goes on is it "shutdown" for a bit longer to get things under control. A shutdown under their watch its a political blow to Biden, Pelosi and friends....no matter who caused it.
From the democrat playbook..."Let no crisis go to waste!"

If the democrats had started working the CR with the time the McConnell gave them last month instead of concentrating on their BBB bill they would not be in the position they are right now with time running out and giving the republicans the ability to leverage this crisis of their own making.

However……this gem of a human being spoke this into existence.

Rahm Emanuel repeated his “never let a crisis go to waste” catchphrase while discussing the coronavirus pandemic.
The former Obama adviser reprised the quote he used during the 2008 financial crisis while speaking on ABC’s This Week on Sunday.
“Never allow a crisis to go to waste,” Emanuel said.

Your side uses it for control and manipulation of the populous…..my side uses it to stop your side and preserve freedom

I seriously doubt any more lockdowns in the US, unless it's in extreme blue cities which crave it anyway.
Going to take a whole lot more than a peer-reviewed laundry list of mutations.
Also no reason whatsoever that congress should approve a short-cut budget for something they don't agree with.
My only issue with the early-FY .gov shutdowns is that they civil "servants" always get backpay after getting time off (mil have to work regardless of whether they get paid or not, so backpay is appropriate there if it came down to it).

Plastered all over the MSM today is
"Omicron arrives to US, President to make a statement" (sad in frantic stacatto voice)

Agreed that they both use the current circumstances to apply pressure against each other.

Lolz….they’ve got you right where they want you. Scared. The irony is you throw around words like “fear porn” and “sheep”. There is a middle ground, but big media is doing everything it can to keep you in their respective corner

And you misunderstood what I posted too as you were referencing my post saying you tried to “warn us”. My post was specifically about a government shutdown. Now if you are talking about a 35,000 ft view of the situation I’d agree with you this was painfully foreseeable and all this will continue until more people push back.

They are searchable.
And again, you did not understand what the post was referring too.

I didn’t reference your prior posts….. you quoted and referenced MY post and went on a tangent that had nothing to do with my post nor the original poster, the topic is on the Continuing Resolution and a government shutdown, not lockdowns! I suspect we are on the same side of the argument…. I don’t understand the hostility and condescension.
