What was the major malfunction that caused this IROP? I haven't been following the news.

I think it started with storms but I think it morphed into an IT issue. I had a blanket GS in but was robo-called for an IA. I tried to call to scheduling but was disconnected 4 times. I tried the PSC and told them I could do the GS and scheduling called me an hour later.

I also heard there were tons of FAs sitting around in MSP but they were not being scheduled effectively so I am betting Delta IT struck again.

Worst I've ever seen. We are much better than this. Embarrassed and I'm not a Kool-aid drinker. This is what happens when you run at redline with no shock absorbers and hit a couple of potholes - the wheels fall off.

I am very pro delta, but this troubles me. I am really starting to question the amount of fleet types we have
88/90
717
73
320
7er
330
764
747/350
C series
It seems to me that when trying to recover from an irop the more planes and pilots you have in category the easier it is. The md88
Category is a disaster and even though it's going away, the md90 is staying so that's another category that holds the same roughly as a 737 or 320z. The 717 holds as much as the c series 100
With the amount of training we have to do for retirements it's going to get scary.
Also network changes their minds every other day and I know it makes us a lot of money but when this stuff happens we lose money.
It seems like some tough love is needed somewhere in the top men category

Not doubt the Board is watching Ed. Fuel hedges, computer melt downs and Irops on Cavu days. Is anyone accountable?

I'd be happy to see a window mount for my Microsoft device that works.

Agree. This is an embarrassment. Crew resources needs to adjust their manpower strategy.

Ditto to what everyone above said. I've never seen such a cluster. ATL pilot lounge full of pilots and 6 green slips go out in my category. At least we had a pizza party in the lounge.

We had to get our own hotel and use uber to get there. Almost 18 hours passed before receiving update to schedule.

Felt bad for pax and the long lines they had to wait in to get help. What help?!!!! Hey you're booked on another ghost ship! Baggage claim belts where packed with bags with no room for arriving bags.

Management types should have NOT been home sleeping. Someone could have been at the OCC and others in a pilot and FA lounge trying to peace things together. WE would have gladly done a flight out of ATL just to get a hotel and get costumers to their destinations. But instead planes at the gates with no crews and nobody in the company answering calls. One guy was on hold for 3 hours with crew tracking, he finally hung up.
