So they are hoping 2 CS100s in October. 6 by year end. EIS into service in January. 26 by Summer.

bBD had told their suppliers to stand down because thry expected to lose the dumping fight so they do have a ramp up issue.

I never thought about it much but when you look at the amount of jumbo RJs to 150 seater in or coming to market it is a lot. Each country gets its own.

Also, I wonder if some of those subcontractor contracts are being re- negotiated? Airbus was going to turn up their muscle and shave 15% on costs.
I've heard Airbus going 70 a month on the Airbus fleet is putting huge pressure on suppliers to keep up. Not sure how much more than can squeeze. I think some of the BBD suppliers had laid off people.

The 26 by Summer was kind of laughed at.

I read on a website about the seat issue. Know nothing else.

Earnings report states deliveries in 4th quarter of 18 and revenue flying to start in early 2019. Matches latest rumors. Sounds like bids mid summer.

Default New branding for the CSeries

Sounds like a good idea:

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-04-25/bombardier-c-series-set-to-become-just-another-airbus-after-deal

Will hopefully convince other airlines that the (former) CSeries will be a permanent fixture in the Airbus lineup...

Can anyone speak to their impression of the cockpit? I'm guessing no one one here has actually been in the real cockpit, but perhaps the simulator. I've read through most of these pages but don't see much discussion it.

Aka, has anyone read anything about comfortability of the cockpit (noise, seats, space...). It seems like people have tons of bad things to say about the 73, and more positive things to say about the 320...so I'm wondering where the C-series is going to fit in along that spectrum.

According to all of the marketing material, the CSeries cockpit was a clean slate design incorporating many of the positives from both Boeing and Airbus cockpits... The feedback I have heard from actual SWISS CSeries pilots is very positive. Very spacious (sidesticks help), big windows and a generally ergonomic set-up because, again, pilots helped design it vs just engineers. Very capable ProLine Fusion just like what you find in the high end Global Express bizjets.

If you want to learn more about it, there are plenty of good videos to reference:

I jump into the sim on occasion. But I'm usually coming from the 320 or 350 sim so it's smaller. If I came from 73 or 88 it's probably the same width and you wouldn't think smaller. Actually the floor space imho reminds me of an 88 but obviously way more user room.

The overhead is tiny compared to most airliners, think crj, but it's got a massive overhead escape hatch. I can't recall if sim has a js. PFD or whatever it's called reminds me of G1000 screens and ND and system screens remind me of 350 layout.

The side stick has a trim switch.
