I smelled it a lot last year... we here in the states could learn a good bit from whatever they are doing.

However, I bet the Mirabel-produced aircraft arrive with the indelible scent of du Maurier, Players, and Export 'A' cigarettes smoked by Jean, Maurice, Guy, Serge and Yvan while on the production line.
The CRJ had a fart hierarchy... the flow was FA sitting outside the door to the FO to the CA. Bad deal: the CA got the FO and FA's farts... good deal: CA could fart with impunity.

With that snapshot feature (number of pilots senior to you with AE bids for)...anyone know if that ONLY counts those pilots senior with AE bids?...not including VD or MD prefs?

You are correct. As it implies, a VD or MD preference is not an AE bid. Nor does the snapshot account for qualifiers (i.e., "Reg only" or "Low Nbr" or "Low %").

Crew Resources just stated that senior pilots should remove their "C10" preferences and reenter them as "220" before the bid closes on Friday.

Years from now we'll have bewildered people asking where the C10 equipment code came from...

8500 currently is in line holder territory on the higher paying 320 in NYC. Seems strange that 8500 would take a plug position over that, especially if a commuter.
