Yeah I'm not buying this one for 2 seconds.
There is nothing super unique or revolutionary about our cabins compared to anyone else that would cause even a slight delay, much less anything significant.
This is a massive non issue. If anyone official is claiming this nonsense, I'd be very concerned because its some of the most obvious propaganda/chaff being popped to cover for something else.

I'd suggest you talk with the LLCP for the jet. He didn't say they were expecting any kind of delays at all. He simply said IF there were any delays the company is expecting it to be because of the interiors and they are already working out the production kinks while other carriers are ahead of us in the delivery pecking order. With that said, it's logical the interiors may be the highest chance of any hiccups for us.

What about our cabins is anywhere remotely close to unique to the level of being a production/delivery issue?
Seats and IFE, but what about either is a last minute redesigning of the wheel? Its a modern jet that's already operating. If (big if) there is an IFE issue its probably the vendor and not Canadair/Bombardier.
Unless of course we're trying to redesign the bathrooms to mine that extra crucial quarter inch of cabin room to get another row in. That I could see.

I still can't buy that.

So Ed B. doesn't like ME3 being subsidized with government $$ moving in on "his turf"... but he doesn't mind Bombardier being subsidized with government $$ so he can pick up aircraft below cost... wonder if the next new house he builds will be all glass with a stone front yard.. that would come in handy for him.

Ya never know....if mgmt. was smart, which I think in general they are, I'm guessing the saving order from delta came with some unadvertised considerations about at least pricing of airframes to other buyers.

I'd like to see an agreement to proceed with development of the CS500 (150+ seat version). That thing would have a very low CASM. I am hearing JetBlue would also be interested in a CS500 version.
