Just out of curiosity what 2 or 3 routes are you referring to?

Richard Anderson was not a fan of the 700 given its CASM (fewer seats to spread the costs). The CS100 can do everything the 700 can do (plus more in terms of short field performance) at a lower CASM given the geared turbofan engines. Lower CASM means lower route operational breakeven point. And the CS300 has an even better CASM with more seats. On top of that, the CS100 is more comfortable for pax than any 737 in Delta's fleet with 2x3 seating, big bins and better windows. The CS100/300 will become a favorite airplane among premium-paying business travelers.

Don't believe me? Just check this out:

No airplane is perfect. At least SWISS and Air Baltic (and Korean with its first CS300 arriving soon) will help to work-out any initial teething problems before Delta's first delivery.

Is it me or does the Captain look like Dave Duchovny?

Exactly my point.

Exactly, that's the point. There's a lot of talk about the C Series being a industry transforming magic jet, but when it gets here it'll be just another garden variety jet of that size with the possible benefit of a slightly cheaper CASM, mostly from fuel efficiency. It has a nice cabin too, but that is also a very minor consideration because the average customer will only experience it probably less than 5% of the time they fly.

I realize you're talking about the Boeing 737 SUPERDUPERMAX-97. It's gonna be in Paris next year. It's like 69 feet longer than the MAX-10.
Lol, yes. Though I prefer ÜBERMAXIMUM-97. With 10% more (MOAR!) cockpit jumpseat comfort!

In all seriousness, I do hope the C100/300 pans out. Purely to provide legitimate design competition, at a minimum.

I see what you did there. Did you drink BRONDO to come up with that?!

IMO it's all gonna come down to whether Boeing wins their complaint or not.
