Google global entry, go to the website, I think there is a link that says update documents or something to that effect, it will walk you through it.

I agree its BS company doesnt pay for it (or uniforms, or hotels for newbies, etc). But I got GE for me and for my convenience, not the companies. So far its been well worth it. Ymmv. The "cute" was snarky, apolgies. |
Customs Crew Line
Didn't read all of the posts, but I am dismayed that ATL is now the ONLY port in all of the international destinations that I've flown that doesn't have a Crew Line. I would bid back to domestic if I flew a 10+ hour flight to a foreign country and had to stand in line for a half hour with the people that ate and slept while we worked. At least all of these destinations have the courtesy to realize that their jobs are dependent on the ones that bring their business. It's a slippery slope to let our own Customs require this in our own Mecca and go uncontested. Delta has the leverage to stop this now, but if not, we may see this practice all over our system. The only reason that we can expedite in ATL as a crewmember now (technically speaking) is with Mobile Passport. They are relaxed now, but after the trial period, what next? What happens when it takes root and all of our tech-loving passengers get Mobile Passport? Change the barriers, add ten more lanes, and we are now in line with the whole group. Ever been to F Concourse Customs at 0520? Who is serving who here? If we let our company roll over and back this new plan by selling us Global Entry and all of its benefits for non-Rev travel, which we can't sanely use due to load factors) and is as easy to get an appointment with them as a documented sex-offender to get weekends alone with his pre-teen girls), we are all going to suffer. The government requiring payment for special services doesn't work well in all scenarios in this history. Hold the line and burn up the CPO ears before every sign-in. Or I should I just go and bust open a jar of peanut butter without my dog?

Agreed. My last trip into ATL, I breezed through with my mobile passport, beating the rest of the crew who had GE. However, once travelers catch onto that app, that line will likely grow. I would think this is a great time to try and push for Delta to pressure the .gov to reopen the crew line OR get the Global entry fee paid the company. Now that the crew line closure had affected the pilots of the great mecca, maybe it will become a priority during negotiations. :D
