Hiring criteria

Given the context, I'm guessing "politically correct" FOs.
Boo... tired argument, and not backed by the actual stats at all.
The 37ish year old white male RJ captain or mil pilot is still middle of the bell curve.

I got hired in my late 30's. If someone thinks that early 40's is too late to start is missing out on a great career. Even with 20 years left a new hire today would be able to upgrade within a year or two (be in the right seat of a WB) and retire as a 330 or 765 CA.
There hasn't been one day that I wished that I had stayed at the regionals. I think most of the guys that won't apply are afraid of failure.

I know multiple people that made the jump from ASA to Delta. The bias is nonsense. It's someone trying to protect their ego and come up with an explanation for why they haven't gotten the call. Just like the people that think it's because they are male, or Caucasian, or weren't military.
Put the app in. Nothing wagered, nothing gained. And 40 isn't too old. Yeah, you won't retire as an A350 captain, but what's so bad about narrowbody captain making $250k with a 16% 401k contribution? Sure sound better than ASA.

It's a waste trying to talk lifers into trying for slots that hungry guys want.

Topic related, who do you guys suggest for application review? I heard there’s a former delta captain / recruiter that does a great job. I’m going to the job fair and would like to put my best foot forward.
Related note I used cage marshal before but would like another look

DL has hired 4000(+?) since Jan 2014. Unless you say "proportionately speaking" , DL doesn't have less pilots than UA or AA that have 0 PIC since the hiring wave started this decade. Most of the zero PICs are under 35. IIRC, AA only has about 200-250 total pilots under 35 out of 15,000+
Not sure why you are connecting the background categories to applicant's age..

7 years ago I was charged with a misdemeanor. After 25 hours of community service, the case was voluntarily dismissed by the district attorney. The final disposition if the court was "dismissed".
Thus, the addendum question "Have you ever been convicted of any felony, misdemeanor, infraction, offense of other violation on any law?", can truthfully be answered as no.
From my understanding, this case will show on an FBI background check with a disposition of "Dismissed". Will this be asked about? I don't mind talking about it, nor do I want to not be truthful on my application. There just seems to be no where to list this. So I guess it doesn't matter?
How should this scenario be handled on AirlineApps, specifically Delta?

Sounds like great volunteer time and community involvement to me.
