S2B

Double pay on holidays solves so many issues. I still don't know why we work for the same rate on major holidays.
Those who don't care about the holidays will bid them so those who do care don't have to work. If you do get "stuck" working a trip you could buy your significant other a ticket to come with you and still be ahead money wise.
The S2B option is a nice gesture that basically helps nobody. As the guy above said even the S2's are not that much help. I came back from Rome a couple months ago and there were 20 non rev's listed.......EVERY SINGLE ONE listed as an S2.

And bad "morale" for pilots trying to get to work or to home on the holidays. Your spouse gets 6 S2's a year like everyone else. There is no reason to get more than that at full S2 priority. S2B is incredibly generous as it is.

It's a good gesture, but not really that generous. I wonder how many actually get used?
Holiday pay would be in the incredibly generous category. How about no S2B passes and holiday meals at hubs for the office cadre and the few pilots who are passing through with more than a 50 minute turn in exchange for premium pay on holidays?

^^^Exactly! Didn't the FA's just get their PS back because "we're all DAL employees and we should all be treated the same?" Holiday pay should be an easy win for us in the next contract based on the company line when they reinstated the PS for the FA's. If we're going to work for the same rate on major holidays, the company shouldn't have the ability to "may deny regardless of reserve levels" IVD's and APD's 2 days prior and 1 day after major holidays. We're giving up 4 days of schedule flexibility for every ONE day that the company declares a holiday. Let's level the playing field on the next contract.

The other employees are going to love it when they start getting 16% in their retirement plan! Unless of course the company demands we go down to their percentage to level the field!
