When uncle sam forced me to get the anthrax vaccine (6 times), there was always a large lump at the injection site. Most definitely big enough for an '80s era microchip.

I spoke with John Bell about this several months ago when working on the electronic flight plan. Believe me, they’ve already thought of automatic flight plan push as well as some other good features. It seemed every action required blessing from various entities, and not just Delta folks. Slow going. I certainly hope it happens soon

I spoke to John about this too last week after he called me about the FCR I put in asking for the automatic emailing of the flight plan. While he reiterated basically everything you touched on, he went further to say in a nutshell that it won’t happen until the demand is there so he recommends as many people as possible put in FCRs with this request.

Sad that we have to ask the company to improve their own process. Every cockpit preflight step they remove or streamline improves our D0, safety and customer experience. Until the automation exists (sounds like an easy fix), they should at least have the dispatcher email the product to crew unsolicited.

I agree completely and if I had to read between the lines, John was a little disappointed it has to come to that but he’s more familiar how the background stuff within the company works than I do. I’m cautiously optimistic we’ll see it...eventually haha

We'd still need the paper in that case though, since the end result would still be inconsistent. Anything less than effective 100% reliability would still mean paper required. Wifi or cellular reliability at the weakest gates in the system would drive the reliability of the entire concept into the ground.
