Thanks guys, always a great read on everyone’s perspective. Looks like I will definitely be having fun when I get hired.

Hated the first 20 years, loving the last 12, 10 more to go and not looking forward to it ending.
If you really think about it, it's not a bad lifestyle...

As long as I have to work for somebody, it’s a great job. The day I don’t have to work for somebody...I’m gone.

Fun? Not really. Mind numbing boring actually. Good way to pay bills, yes! All I have ever done is fly airplanes so I don’t have same perspective as other guys that worked different jobs. Maddog FO about to move on:

Sure beats working for a living.

A bit of advice... If you’re leaving an ill wife and three children with a stomach virus, in the middle of winter... don’t come home with a tan and a souvenir margarita glass after a layover at an all inclusive beach resort in the Caribbean.

The day I love the most is Valentines day, the rest are "bleh". Different job, same company...but it seems like it's a completely different one for those of us on the other side of the cockpit door. They keep taking away our flexibility, our work space, cutting our staffing, and increasing our workload. I'm counting down the days to retirement...unfortunately it's a 4 digit number.

Huh? We recently canned two seats on the -90 to give y’all more space!

To thwart a complete thread derail, I, too, agree it beats working for a living. Short of making Delta money to give rides in old Wacos and/or marrying a rich, dumb, young nymphomaniac, this is the best gig I can think of today.
