In the military these guys are called "effin' tools". In the civilian world they are simply miserable to fly with whether they be capt's or FO's. Their analanese(if that is not a word it should be) and "professionalism" makes them hard to get along with and transforms a fun job into a JOB ....IMHO
OBTW....you act like Delta pilots are taught to say those words at indoc or we sit around drinking beer and discuss proper RT terminology and dream up Deltaism's for ride reports....if you haven't figured it out yet, there are some Delta pilots that are Summers Eve feminine hygiene products just as there are at 'Merican, United, JB, Southwest etc...typical of all walks of life....'efffin tools pop up on occasion

I wouldn’t say ignore, but I’ll take it with a grain of salt. Sometimes you fly through the same area and think actually it was occasional light turbulence.
Yup industry is better than ever...
As for guard police, guess you haven’t thought about what frequency ground point 5 would be.

Woah occasional light vs light chop? Dude, air can like, change over time man. Crazy stuff.
It is all light chop. You just haven't seen the light yet😎

I think this is over used, and ESPECIALLY by Delta pilots. Delta is the butt of many jokes about this, even on the radio when I hear light chop my assumption is it might actually be pretty smooth. Just report smooth, or if you are compelled to say light chop, use a prefix like occasional, or intermittent.
Let's get some accurate variety in turbulence reporting. For goodness sake, Delta prides themselves on being the best, show it by using terminology out of the AIM.

It's like a bunch of guys that work the quarry are eavesdropping on Michelangelo talking about polishing a statue and rolling their eyes.
Not everyone is going to get it. ; )

Screw that. I'm using light chop all the time now especially for the weirdos in a CRJ that don't know the AIM.

Glad we covered the asinine, useless, and constant light chop checkins. Now about those windchecks and constant guard policing (which only invites the RJ dorks to troll you). Here's an idea. When some immature aswipe meows, resist the urge to pick up the mike and growl "GUARRRRDDDDD". You're just giving them what they want. Ignore them and they will go away.
