I agree with you as to the confusion. Maybe ALPA and the Company made a deal where past practice has also referenced seniority even though it isn't a condition listed in the contract?

Huge miss in the 320 and pretty big miss on the 73, the others were all close. And nobody displaced from ATL717a, so I've been a pretty sticky booger. A few of the more junior LAX 717a's didn't keep their seat, some by choice and some couldn't hold anything other than NYC. And (obviously) some ATLm88A's going back to the right involuntarily (although I think all could've held NYC220A if they wanted.)
