Much to my chagrin, I had to fly Korean LAX-ICN on their A380. I swear it felt like their girls never took a break, but they weren’t at all bothersome. When I’d step back to the lounge area, there would be 2 or 3, and one would ask me to wait, scurry into the bathroom to wipe it down and then let me in. The rest would be in the cabin sitting on their Jumpseats or walking the aisles, constantly getting dinged when they passed. I don’t know what it was like downstairs, but assume the same?

Good luck getting our “area codes” to do any of that

Our lavs are disgusting 2 hours into the flight. Asian flight attendants clean their lavs constantly as well as keeping the main cabin clean and neat. Our aircraft look like a hurricane went through!

I had a F/O that was doing F/A tax returns. I bet him a dollar that the next client would meet him at the door in curlers and a robe. The next week the buck was in my mailbox.

C'mon man, somebody paid $250 to go from LAX to MCO... they have every right to treat that airplane like a cheerios dumpster.

My wife expected to be treated like a nonrev, and wasn’t disappointed. She merely asked where they all disappear to. Cause they do, sometimes. She had to go to the back to get a Diet Coke because the front FA was no where to be found, (prob in the back w the others..). No matter, we have had fantastic service on some flights, and others it was ..meh...
She/I merely was pointing out had she put out the 5 k for a seat, or had that hvc put out that money, they most likely would be disappointed...And I don’t think our competition has a consistency of service issue...

I just had an ex Pan Am Fa as the lead from MIA to LGA the other day. 88 years old...I know that because my 88 year old Uncle was a Pan Am Captain, and I mentioned it....and the kindest, best cabin crew member I’ve had in a long time. It was almost embarrassing to me that she treated me with such high regard.

I don’t need to have my ego caressed, I treat everyone with kindness and respect, and appreciate it when it is returned, if deserved, but this kind woman really made me wish I could experience the glory days of flying around the world with a “Clipper” call sign, just for a week or two. My uncle has shared enough stories to make me really envious. But now I really want to live it. Just for a week. Is that too much to ask?
