I could see paybanding and longer freezes if we got 5:15 vacation and training and 1:1 on QCQ. That would be a compromise.

When I see it... Do we need 20 ETOPS to go from 3 or 4 west coast cities to 3 or 4 HI cities?

ETOPS for any transcon is a significant waste of money if that’s all they do. My bet is near Europe in the NEO is just a matter of time

I agree. Hawaii flying doesn't need 20 airplanes. I think the rumored BOS 320 base is a clue that there will be transatlantic 321NEO flying to smaller cities like Shannon, Manchester etc

There are currently no plans to fly the 321 across the Atlantic. It would require a expensive sub fleet. They plan to use the 757 in that roll for at least the next 7 or 8 years.

Maybe, but how different is ‘premium transcon’ from International? (Assuming previous post is correct)

It’s not ETOPS. The “premium transcon” birds after the first 20 will not be ETOPS.

Plans can change, of course, but this has remained quite solid.

This just sealed it. NO PLANS! How is that sub fleet different from the Hawaii sub fleet?
