Don't remember the details but it has to do with how they want to break up the trips and how to assign them, would be a huge concession and would basically get rid of a lot of green slips going out, DALPA of course didn't agree to any of it.
QOL issues are at the forefront for this contract.
They probably want a system more like United that gives the company flexibility to rebuild open time even combining trips from different bases.

What's the point of seniority if you don't fly what you bid? Beyond ridiculous.

It's really sad how far behind other pilot groups we are, had an ex-southwest guy at the meeting and was explaining their re-route pay .. they almost want to get re-routed ... sometimes pays premium for the whole 3-4 day trip.
Here is the SWA reroute rule.
Reassignment that blocks in later than original trip all legs not in original sequence will be premium pay. (150%)

They only get reroute pay if the block in after their original trip and then only on legs not on the original rotation. It’s paid at 50%. If they are extended into a extra day they get double pay for that day.

I also believe they were premium pay if their trip reports earlier. A good friend there of mine had to report 10 minutes earlier to DH via a different route (ie, ATL-DEN-LAS rather than ATL-DAL-LAS) and got premium pay for that whole day. Said, "Whole day. It’s called “Move-Up” pay. If reroute you and you start earlier than on the original pairing, 1.5x for the day. "

I get the distinct impression that their reroute rules are flexible, but pay pretty darn well too.

Do they want all instructors to be seniority list pilots like United too?

yeah I believe that would pay assignment pay at Delta. So effectively 300% for the whole trip, if rerouted prior to your first airborne leg.

I think he said what he meant. Everyone. Weren't the old guys taken care of? They should have been just fine. Oh, it doesn't work like that predicting the future?

I'm thinking we all just need to be on reserve with 15 days off and a call out premium.

Common sense told me that. What is the shortest time you ever heard of a major airline mediation taking? In order to have a ratified contract in effect for the summer we need A agreement by April. Are you saying you think that’s going to happen? I Think April of next year maybe.
