And the cost of doing that business should be properly compensating us with premium pay automatically. I get the company wants to stay ahead of the power curve. And if they need me to do it...fine. but you dont get to have your cake and eat it to. If you are going to treat my awarded rotation as a rough draft, then show me the money. And I might just answer my phone too.
Don't remember the details but it has to do with how they want to break up the trips and how to assign them, would be a huge concession and would basically get rid of a lot of green slips going out, DALPA of course didn't agree to any of it.
QOL issues are at the forefront for this contract.

What's the point of seniority if you don't fly what you bid? Beyond ridiculous.
It's really sad how far behind other pilot groups we are, had an ex-southwest guy at the meeting and was explaining their re-route pay .. they almost want to get re-routed ... sometimes pays premium for the whole 3-4 day trip.

Hmm. I have 30 years and still cannot hold 777A. Guys 3-5 years ahead of me is who you are talking about. They have been flying 777A for 12-15 years.... What stock?

disregard him. Probably didn’t even have a pilots license when the BK was happening. Most of his knowledge base on the subject comes fro. Things he “heard” along the way. Ask him for any concrete numbers and you will most likely get crickets.

I would expect some “ask” from the company in the form of schedule relief, there is no way the summer flying will happen with out that.
Looks like the current people won’t just give with out something in return.

The only way any “ask” will be granted is if C2019 is signed and complete.
Any help will be time limited and never permanent.
In my opinion.

The company has no plans to have a contract by summer so I doubt that’s a consideration.

You are probably right, but that is true about a very large part of the pilot group now.
