When savings dry up and unemployment ends, I think you’ll see a much different attitude about trying to get the economy back.

This is a problematic statement, everyone wants the economy to reopen sooner than later. The difference lies in how to do it smartly so as not avoid doing this all over again. Of course, it would be helpful if we had some true leadership at the federal level. Sucks living in a failed state.

exactly my sentiment. I’d rather pay a few more weeks than end up needing to shut down for a few months again.

Its a shame we have too many snowflakes like Cbreez who cant see or refuse to see the writing.
Beware-when we all look in 1 direction, we get blindsided by the real threat.
John McCain had the perfect word for this: Wingnut.
I wish McCain was still around to counter the intellectual conservative vacuum.

Yeah I know it’s a complicated re-opening. But if you can’t put food on the table and pay for your basic needs, you will Risk a bit more to take care of you and your family.

You mean the intellectual who never saw a war he didn’t fall in love with?

Do you think waiting, say another month, is gonna stop a spike in the fall?

Anyone who has been reading anything about this knows that COVID-19 is NOT going away and will be around for a long time. All the pundit doctors are saying there will be a resurgence come the fall/winter. This is just gonna be delayed by a month or two the longer we wait. I’m not saying open everything right now but I think the phased opening does need to start soon.
