So McCain made bad choices too? And you think he would have made a good President? How can you defend him? The press would have eaten his lunch!
Oh how the world would be different if Patton kept going East and McArthur kept going north.

Furloughs are bad.

Patton would have encountered a Soviet nightmare and 20,000 T-34’s. McArthur nuking China would have made the world more dangerous than is already is because using nukes would have become normalized. They might be someday but not yet - and that’s a good thing.
I don’t think we ranked at my school. We did have 100+ keg parties however.
If there are furloughs and an insufficient ERP pilots will blame the company. Harshly.

I generally tend to be very optimistic however, the data just doesn't lie. Our economy is in for a long term recession at a minimum. Mostly everything that drives travel (sporting events, vacation destinations, concerts/festivals) is canceled through this summer and many things in the fall. Most big corporations are not booking business travel till Q4 at a minimum and even that will be a trickle. I don't care what you are flying (pax, cargo, corporate, charter) the next 2 years is going to be tough going. I just don't see how we don't have at least 7-10k pilots on the street come fall and this assumes all the majors offer decent early retirement packages. If a huge amount don't take it the numbers will go up. The world economic data doesn't lie.

Those reports are minimum staffing where the airline couldn't function. Actual required to run an airline would be around 10,000. They always freak people out in down times.
That report is actually relatively good, as that is about 70% when we are still anticipating being down. Really doesn't bode for furloughs at all.
