IMO the FAE is badly out dated and should never take into consideration overtime and contract ninja triple dipping trickery in any of its calculations. Nor should dropping trips, taking SILs, LOAs, MIL or anything else. It should always and only be based on a stove piped percentage of ALV or a fixed hour marker like 75 or something, and then a percent of that. The savings from not paying half a million a year for possibly years or a decade or more should be amortized into the plan to increase the percentage of the fixed hourly measurement. So instead of 50% it could be 60% or maybe more for everyone instead of half a million a year for a decade based on one year's worth of contract ninja nonsense.

But the wants of the "good deal" crowd trump the needs of the entire group aparently.

Just heard over 5,000 DL pilots will/might be taking leave, will get health insurance paid during leave (will have to double pay premiums when returning) and get 2 free round trip tickets. If accurate, that like 40% of the list!

Try F/As and other mainline employees.

I think if the AA leave template were applied here the numbers would likely be in the thousands.

That’s close to the numbers F/As and other employees announced who have taken leave. He’s got it confused with them.

We have no leave offered other than SILs in May and June. Think about it. His post makes no sense.

Ah, just another jump-the-gun I've-got-to-be-the-first-to-post-this-rumour post.

Your OP says 5000 pilots WILL take leave. That implies the bids have already taken place and awarded.

Again, this isn’t pilots. You misunderstood him.

Additionally, on a SkyHub video today they’ve admitted they are 3000 pilots over staffed in April. They don’t need 5000 pilots to take leave.

SkyHub is a company propaganda tool exploited by a lying, cheating mgmt team. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Of course mgmt functionaries are going to use it to manipulate data and bleat their version of the truth directly to the pilots. Put another way: why are we trusting the same folks who preach "rules of the road," and then violate our contract? Why would anyone trust whatever Mr Gumm, Burns and the gang are spewing? They have lost all credibility.

No reason for anyone to be on Skyhub anyway, after DALPA has told us many times to stay away.
