USA now CDC Level 3

The ALPA bulletin is not the source document for CDC Warning Level 3 countries. The list is dynamic and the five countries you mentioned represented the current list as of the time of publication. My interpretation is that we can refuse a trip to a country with a CDC Warning Level 3. While on reserve earlier this month, I checked the CDC list multiple times daily for updates. The list expanded substantially between publication and the 26th of March. On the 27th of March, the CDC expanded the list to a worldwide Warning Level 3, effectively including all countries.

I understand ALPA is not the CDC list. I think you’re looking at the CDC website wrong. If you get to the section you can pull the country down and select. You will see the current Level 3 which matches the bulletin the company put out on the 22nd. For our LAX777, SYD and HND are level 3.
Have you seen any country specific Cv19 warnings at the following link in the last 24hrs? They had country specific listings yesterday, but I can’t find any today. When did you last review the CDC country list?

Serious question,
Can ALPA not collectively, as our representative, just say we are standing down until the threat level to crews has been diminished through 1. Proper PPE worn in and around the airports, 2. Proper nutritional availability at both airports and layover hotels, 3. Proper transportation with minimal grouping/maximum social distancing 4. Reduction of CDC NYC from quarantine inplace/Level 3 warnings. Everyone of us is thinking pretty much the same thing about the futility of trying to manage any semblance of a schedule and I imagine most of us are starting to be concerned about catching this and brining it home to our loved ones. I realize our 4th floor guys are working hard, but ED and the lot aren't ubering between crashpads and walking around the streets looking for food in arguably the most dangerous place on the planet right now. Just random thoughts...anybody?

I would love to be better informed on exactly how this thing is transmitted, is keeping my hands clean and away from my face enough??? I brought a pillow on my last three day. The last thing I want is to be the guy that brings this home to loved ones.

One of our biggest threats is getting infected while on a trip and then showing symptoms while at home.
Not only do we possibly infect our family when we return home but being conscientious professionals we call in sick but cannot realistically claim an OJI because where we became infected cannot be determined (even though it's most likely happened on a trip).
While most of the younger Pilots will shake it off some of the older ones may find this career ending.
