How does 70% of the pilot group average a 20% paycut starting on July 2nd? (July 1st is still in the June bid period). I highly doubt they will convert 70% of the pilot group on July 2nd to lower paying categories. Not sure how we could run our albeit greatly reduced schedule with all those pilots in an NQAT status.

Maybe its a diabolically genius plan....to force our customers to buy brand X so they will appreciate our product that much more and gladly come back and pay that premium upcharge?
Im wondering with all this activity in the streets if we can officially call the lockdowns as over?

It would - for those who require training, anyway. And, if you are converted to your new (lower paying) category, you can no longer fly in your current category. There is no doubt that the July 2nd Conversion list will be extensive but I just don't see it being that extensive.

Wasn't intended as a joke, and not how you get that suggestion from my post. What I'm saying is that, rather than this bid being used simply to position staffing for summer 2022, perhaps they are displacing more than is needed with the goal of converting thousands of pilots to lower-paying positions with no intention of actually training them. Then, when demand rebounds, run another AE and then train pilots where they are needed. Pure speculation, that's all.

Today: There’s a massive crowd of ‘protesters’ looting, burning and destroying small businesses. Who can blame them. Let’s give them the latitude they need to express themselves. We should probably start a fund to bail out anyone who gets arrested. Corona what?
I’m starting to believe the fake news thing.

Yesterday: How dare greedy small business owners try to open their businesses, putting their profits over the safety of the people in this pandemic. The blood is on their hands. Arrest them and put them in jail.

Remember...the media is also a business. There’s no news anymore, only opinions. Every media outlet profits from sensationalism.
You can’t have a 24/7 news station, if there’s nothing to report.
