Default Fleet simplification

In a recent corporate video, the SVP Fleet Supply Chain talked about future fleet simplification. He said we currently have 13 fleet families and 25 fleet types, and they're looking to take us down to 8 and 13 respectively. I wonder what the guesses are as to what we'll end up with.

Currently we have, recently had, or orignally planned to soon have:
1. 717
2a. 737-700*
2b. 737-800
2c. 737-900ER
3a. 757-200
3b. 757-300
4a. 767-300ER
4b. 767-400ER
5a. 777-200*
5b. 777-200LR*
6a. A220-100
6b. A220-300
7a. A319
7b. A320
7c. A321
7d. A321Neo
8a. A330-200
8b. A330-300
8c. A330-900Neo
9. A350
10a. MD-88*
10b. MD-90*
11a. CRJ-200
11b. CRJ-700
11c. CRJ-900
12a. ERJ-170
12b. ERJ-175
* are already announced retirements. I'm not sure where he gets 13/25, as that's 12/27 and is what's shown on the fleet information page. Anyways, I'm wondering what the conjecture is on how we go from that to 8/13?

My wholly uneducated guess, without looking at anything like scope, aircraft age, or fleet count:
1a. 737-800
1b. 737-900ER
2. 757-200
3. 767-300ER
4a. A220-100
4b. A220-300
5a. A321
5b. A321Neo
6a. A330-300
6b. A330-900Neo
7. A350
8a. ERJ-170
8b. ERJ-175

717
737-700
757-300
767-400ER
777-200
777-200LR
A319
A320
MD-88
MD-90
CRJ-200
CRJ-700
CRJ-900

Where did you see the 737-700 and CRJ-200 retirement announcements?

I guess I made an assumption that that would mean they're getting rid of all of them. No official announcement that I could find, so I corrected the post.

The 737-700 "announcement" was in the same video I originally referred to.

I, too, heard the -700s were already gone. Not officially, though.

He’s stated several times the 737-700s “are retired.” They haven’t been, at least for July because they are still flying.

From various sources, the A319 will do EYW and we won’t be going back to TGU until we can fly into the military field NW of it.

is TGU gonna move to a new airport? Side note AA uses A319s into TGU now

I wonder why the -700s are going away, they are fairly new (much newer than the 319s)

Perform off short runways better also.

There's only 10 of them. Why pay the costs associated with keeping a whole subfleet of 10 airplanes in the air when you 1. don't need the lift and 2. can replace the mission with other aircraft you have?

I understand simplifying but aren’t the A319s pushing 25 years old vs about 12 for the -700s. I just figured we would keep a fleet like the -700s for hot /high/short field and replace the A319s/ 88s with a220-300s.

I also could just be bitter because I was 73N before I was UNA
