... and 1000 lbs more weight, that's right, a half ton heavier. Great cars for what they are, but not light and flickable like a miata.

I was looking around for a used 2019 ND and found this up in the SEA area.

What do you guys think? I think it’s overpriced but this 30th anniversary edition is almost impossible to find. It’s over my budget anyway. The seller won’t budge on the price. I have a problem spending this much for something that’s gonna sit in the garage. But, this one is rare and a beauty.

Then you’ve never driven a Lotus. Utterly divine chassis and handling.

I drove my friends’s C7 Grand Sport before he sold it. Not impressed. Felt like a boat.

I paid $34,652 new for mine a year ago so that's not a big price drop for being used and a year old.
It is a great combo of features and a unique color that you don't get on any other trim level tho. All the convenience and safety items from the GT plus the performance items from the Club, plus unique wheels etc. I really like the Recaro seats but some people think they're too narrow and firm.

I love my 30AE, but you have to decide if it's worth it to you.

I haven’t driven an Elise but I have driven a 7. Fabulous car. In this genre of cars I have owned a 280Z, RX7, 90 Miata, a Cooper S, and a BRZ over the years. All great cars in their own right. Best performer of those; the BRZ. An Elise is not a good comparison. Not really a car you can drive every day nor would you want to or for great periods of time from every review I have read.
A new SS Camaro 1 LE can be had for under $45k. Rides nice in town. There is nothing in its league with that kind of performance. It will run with a Carrera 4S or a Cayman all day. Only a tick slower then a Cayman GT4. All the other cars I owned were what I expected. I walked away from the SS 1LE saying no way is that almost a 4000lb car. Completely shocked. Easiest of the cars I have driven to drive hard. Predictable and won’t bite you at the limit. Same chassis on the Cadillac ATS-V.

What do I think? Pay full price, then drive the snot out of it. Keep it looking pristine through meticulous care, then rinse and repeat. Man, what a sexy car to enjoy life in!

Respect! As a Lotus diehard I can’t find greater joy in driving than a lightweight car with telepathic feeling steering chucked into a twisty at 8/10+ the limit. THAT is driving bliss and the Miata certainly fits that bill. Plus it’s just plain got great lines.

Soft top. No question.
