Of all people, sailing, I’d have thought you would recognize the quote he was paraphrasing.

I should have put it as a standalone post and not quoted him. It’s a general observation of posts I have seen over the years.

the only fleet I heard consistently had bad instructors was the 88. When I was on it I only had 1 bad interaction and it was with a retired delta pilot who was a dgs instructor. Everyone else was fine. The biggest complaint I ever had was; did I need to know the name of every single opening on the exterior inspection verbatim?

I agree that the instructors we have are generally very good. Any critiques I can think of are program/footprint related, not instructors. Except one, but next time around he was much better (and no I didn't snitch).

My biggest issue is consistently. Every instructor teaches his/her technique. During the 200s you do it one way then learn “my way” or the “line way” in the later lessons. Having had a different instructor for almost every module it gets frustrating. This happened with my last two full courses, then add a non standard pairing with unknown seat fillers and it becomes more challenging because now you have 2 instructors tag teaming you with “technique” at the same time.
The system works though. No extra sims and finished on plan.
