It would be a real shame if the union was unable, with all of the options on the table, to come to a deal. This entire business is about shared sacrifices – we share our profits, we share our rewards, and we also share our hardships. The reason we have no furloughs in any other workgroups is because everyone has shared the sacrifice...”
EB is not talking about the voluntary programs in this statement. The company also dropped a non voluntary ALV reduction proposal on the union as well as the voluntary LOA 20-03. That is the one he is talking about shared sacrifice.

Well if we furlough 1900+ pilots and find ourselves short next summer, I suppose we could approve an LOA to remove caps on white slip pickups. It would be all voluntary of course.

When do we get a look at the one after 20-03? Does anyone have any info about it yet?

i think that is still in negotiations. I thought I saw that today the MEC was going to give the NC direction on a counter proposal.

Do you, or don't you, trust your reps to do their jobs without micromanaging from the perpetually aggrieved crowd? The two examples you cited were clear wins for the pilots. The 117 agreement gave us the 5.15 ADG that applied to reserves and dh only duty periods, something's NEVER achieved prior. Memrat would have been a painful, unnecessary drag.

that is disappointing considering it is an all voluntary measure, the same measure we have been asking for for months.

this also leaves those 220 pilots hanging for as long as possible. Vote closes on OCT 31. They will find out day of if they are furloughed or not. Does the voting window really have to be a month? Do we really need to be treating our own pilots like this.

I am guessing the close of the 31st is to try and push the company to keep pilots through November, so we can see the participation rate.
