We should just fold the entire Air Line so that no one is forced to have to go to work.

It also wouldn't make much sense to train someone up only to allow them to not fly (consolidation?) for nearly 12 months. Would make more sense to me to allow them to participate in any upcoming AE as well as the voluntary measures and then convert/train at the end of the CBL if that is required. Maybe I'm missing something.
I’m just basing it off of the two notes in the LOA under CBLs. I could definitely be mistaken. It would be nice if the MEC would provide some additional clarity.

“Note one: A pilot who has received a notice of furlough is not eligible to bid for, or be awarded, a CBL.
Note two: A pilot is not eligible to bid for, or be awarded, a CBL, if the pilot
1) has begun qualification training and is not projected to complete OE/TOE or
consolidation requirements prior to the start of the CBL, or
2) is scheduled for qualification training in the first month of the CBL.”

I think you missed some satire there. Unless you were hammering the point for the ignorant out there.

cant blame him, that argument has been used by plenty to try to justify torpedoing the LOA

You could certainly be correct. Depends on interpretation, I guess. I have received a notice of furlough but have also been told that I will now not be furloughed. Puts me and others in some sort of strange "no-man's land". For the record, Note two with parts 1 and 2 do not apply to me as I have been UNA since July.

Technically all the 1941 are still on the block if nothing changes. Once this TA passes the 220 will have their notices revoked and it would make sense that they’d be eligible to bid of any of the provisions available in their category.

How much notice will they give you before a drug test? Asking for a friend.

Makes sense to me, thanks.
