I'd sign up for that. Cash the company out and give us all golden parachutes.

Why are you looking at me like that? Management does it, they get taught to do it in their fancy business schools. It's fine

Why are the pilots who got furlough notices not eligible for a CBL?

My guess, because they're going to be furloughed.

What good is someone getting a CBL who is going to be cut anyways? They wouldn't be saving anyone's job.

They would reduce their own costs and solve the overstaffing. I think if they were offered and took them, we would need less takers above the furlough cut line. We'd have a much better shot at keeping some more of them around. Furlough would still be an option for the company.

Yeah, it makes no sense not to offer them to everyone from a cost savings perspective.

Aside from the note about not offering them to furloughs, their intent is to offer these options to overstaffed categories. My assumption is that folks about to be furloughed are on NBs that are not overstaffed (many NB categories are understaffed).

If ratified, I’d bet these get offered to the 350, 330, and 7ER before anyone else.

PS, I’m in the 73 and would happily take a multi-month ULC if offered. If I’m around in January maybe I’ll have a chance, we’ll see.
