‘And after the vote at the ALPA BOD to start collecting dues on our DC excess payments, this will eventually affect a lot of pilots.

I didn’t hear if the vote to delay this until Jan 2021 passed or not.......

As a narrowbody fo, I'm at limit this year already. Last year, I had 2 paychecks at limit. Going forward, probably won't hit limit anymore as it keeps raising and profit sharing loss will be hard to overcome.
I gotcha. I wonder if this would be optional? Would I be able to take cash on top or will this be the only place cash on top goes?

Are they indeed? Not me. Nobody I work with seems to have that mindset. I’ve worked with probably 70 different WB pilots since the pandemic onset. The majority seem to be playing PCS to attain some degree of normalcy. Sure, there’s a good number satisfied to not fly and take some time off. But that comes at a cost. I think your statement might be as accurate as the current political polling we see every day.

This is as close to a homerun as anyone gets in this environment.

The permanent TLV reduction has long been my favorite option, and I can’t believe we actually got it.

To each his own, the top end has always done that. Why would a pandemic change things? I'm watching the reserves available drop like flies because of currency, much of that is intentional given the requal schedule. I'll agree to disagree. I haven't been out of the country since February. I've flown 3 trips since this started.

to me this seems like a solid win for our group even if furloughs were not in question

im curious if the company wanted the MCBP instead of something cheaper like better deadhead rules. I know deadheading us in anything but coach has been something they want to avoid but it seems like an cheaper alternative to more retirement $$
the MBCBP, if implemented, is a true win-win. It actually saves the company money.

We have "but not less than" language, unless that changes with the LOA, 72.

Works for me. I guess I assumed it would have come with its own $$$. Any idea if this will be optional vs just taking cash on top?

The plan is for it to be optional. That way you could opt to take your DPSP cash, or put it in the MBCBP.

I wouldn't say it's a home run....In my opinion it's a stand up double. I'd argue though it's the best deal of any of the airlines so far. The TLV was a big win for sure. It's pretty rare for us to get something that requires more pilots.

agree with you here. there were a few things I would have liked to have seen in this proposal but overall I think this is a great deal and not nearly as divisive as the UAL deal was.
