This lasted all night, starting to feel a little better this a.m. I'd definitely say fo not fly after the J&J vaccine!
FWIW, I got the J&J shot and it was like nothing. Contrast that with a combined flu/shingles vax a few months ago and my reaction was so severe my wife wanted to take me to the hospital.

Go figure.

So, it's now been 32 hours, as mentioned last night crazy rough, mostly back together now, just a wee bit tired. Otherwise good to go. Good luck everybody else.

I have not read this entire thread so I apologize if this has been discussed. What would be the downside to Delta knowing I got the vaccination. I see stuff from ALPA about calling in sick vs being put on No Fly if you don't want them to know you were vaccinated. Would you lose the ability to refuse a trip to a CDC level 3 country flying international? What is the downside? Why not use it for a free trip drop?

Maybe that if you become in contact with someone with Covid 19, you might continue to work? Or shorter quarantine?

I sent my information to DAL. I actually wanted that they know I’m vaccinated and doing my part to get this problem fixed.

you need some serious de-programming
did the first two lockdowns work in Italy... don’t think so. They are about ready to do lockdown number three.

Was asked for my insurance info when I signed up. Guessing here: I think the shot is "free", but administration is billed to insurance? So if you get the shot(s), Delta can probably find out.

As far as not getting the shot? I was given a card at the vax site and told in no uncertain terms "do NOT lose this, it's going to be important very soon". Take from that what you will.

(Insanely easy to forge though. NOT advocating that, just saying that if this is the basis for some sort of medical passport, it's a complete joke).

The lockdowns worked as they have in other countries. The problem is you can’t stay locked down with the exception of China where they weld apartment entrances shut.

of course hiding in your basement will work for period isolated... but eventually you have to come out. Here us how lockdowns work for the rest of EU... hint: they don’t work.

Second shot yesterday morning (Pfizer). Nothing more than a sore arm.

Much better than when I had the disease itself in December. That was unpleasant.

Based on everything here it all sounds completely dependent on each individual, both for the disease and the vaccine.

Everyone's immune response is different, that goes for the vaccine as well as COVID. The sooner we all get vaccinated the sooner we can move on.

The alcohol thing refers to heavy drinking. An occasional drink or two doesn't make a dent on efficacy.
