Sorry but you’re wrong. Just ask me and about 24 other guys. I didn’t just make this up.

Sailing, I think you may have misread his post. He's talking about if the CJO expires, not for a long delay with an extended expiration window.

My personal prediction is possibly a small batch of hiring for Summer 2022 and hiring begins to really ramp back up for Summer 2023. I don't think anyone back in May actually thought we would have vaccines as quickly as we do. We just need to get through these few critical months and hopefully things start coming back in a meaningful way.
Your prediction sounds reasonable, the only thing I'd correct is that back in May, experts, including Dr. Fauci, predicted the arrival of the vaccine in Nov/Dec 2020.

I got a email saying I will be eligible for reinterview (messed up one of the computer tests) when hiring resumes...pretty happy that they put that out there as my 6 months was up in September, nice touch all things considered.

Glad to hear they are doing that. Hope you don’t have to wait too long. Good luck!

I'm curious too. What's the deal?

Nothing exciting, really. The last couple interview groups of 2010 were given CJOs but never classed up for something I can’t remember. Compass flow maybe? Our CJOs kept getting extended in 6-month increments until about 3 years later they stopped, but they gave a handshake deal to be first to interview when hiring started back up. We all got emails to reapply in 2013 along with the rest of the applicants. Most guys had moved on already. Some guys did the interview again and were rejected! The handshake deal was never honored. Not sure about the rest who hung on but I classed up about a year after the first hires in 2014. Like I said, nothing cosmic.

Wow, thanks for the clarification. Bummer to hear about how that played out for some of the folks. Guess we’ll see how things pan out over the next year or so. A good number of us had already accepted class dates before COVID hit and they were suspended. Timing and luck I suppose. Here’s to hoping recovery happens more quickly this time around.
