And you will soon discover that by the time you can 'hold' ATL that you are a solid line holder in NY... at least on the -ER.

the point is that whether you bid it on this bid or not, the result is the same. WBA in NYC doesn’t mean anything wrt you holding something else later

I'm a VERY interested party going back to DTW330B and have reinstatement rights. I'm about 15 in line behind prior reinstatement's. There are maybe 20 junior to me. If and it's a big if, the junior folks converted NOV or later (I converted in Nov) , I'm seeing a max of 30-35 reinstatement's and that is if everybody wants to come back AND some others that just AE'd to other equipment on a subsequent AE, relinquishing their reinstatement rights. My prediction is 30 reinstatement's and probable another 20-30 AE in because there are 60+ A320A positions posted for DTW.

Do you really think between now and next week the company is going to start a massive scope negotiation with the union and threaten not to grow if we don’t cave? Even though it’s a one year bid with the company going into a growth mode they would put themselves in a bad situation if they started trying to cancel some bids after the fact. The contract makes that expensive and it would increase training.

Just to be sure this is all internal numbers, there wasn’t anything about Delta needing to hire anytime soon?

I thought ALPA said that your reinstatement rights are not cancelled by any prior bid, could be wrong on that though.

The bid will leave ~350 open positions that could potentially be used for newhires. They haven't officially committed to hiring. Yet.

Big D indicated there would be 350ish spots available for new hires...I expect hiring soon.

...looks like I was just beat to the punch

Anybody pull trigger on 330b to 320a ATL? WB FO is a great job now, but wondering how senior you have to be on the 320a side to make it worth it from a QOL perspective. Pros/cons?

That is exactly correct.
