There was a discussion a ways back about displacements and reinstatements and how many were left. Curly has posted a displacement and reinstatement page. It shows how many are senior to you that have reinstatement. It will also show where they are currently. From there it seems pretty obvious who is going back and who is not. At least for my feeble mind it does.

For those that have, how hard was it - training and transition?

Just looking for reference and your thoughts. PMs are fine.

Was looking at either the 73 or 320. Background is Mad Dog and 7ER.

Thank you.
Don't think it'll be an issue. The training here is good especially on the 737 in my experience. If you've been a captain before here or somewhere else it'll also be easier!

Right seat 7ER to a left seat 73...no problemo. IMHO, the ER is a better plane, but that 737 will make you a left seat HUD-cripple after your first sim session with it. I'd say go for it.

For the Airbus non-initiated: the thing is built with 3rd world operators and stupid-pilot mistakes in mind. Again, go for it. If you can fly the right seat of a Mad Dog, the left seat of an Airbus is going to be a piece of cake.

Finally, I've no proof of this, but I'm pretty sure the instructors talk amongst themselves, and the LOE check airmen have a very good idea what they're getting when you show up at the real airplane. Nobody's getting signed off for anything "real" unless they're ready. So, trust the system.

A lot more than 10. But still seems to be plenty of WB B spots for those interested. DTW may have more reinstatement’s to the 330 than spots. Haven’t looked at the 350 or 765.

I went from -88CA to 320CA having never flown an Airbus ever. Learning the FMS was the trickiest part I found and it took a while to get comfortable in the jet but that was more because there was ZERO flying on it after I checked out. It took almost all four months to consolidate and most of that flying was in the last 30 days. The first three months every time I stepped onboard I felt a bit out of it. Once I held a line and was flying regularly it was great.

FO's were and are great. That helps as well.

Yeah that’s my bad. I skipped like 3 pages somehow when I was looking at the list on my phone. All of it Detroit WBs too. Between the 330B and the 350B, I’m counting over 80 actually, just for DTW. So yes, a lot.

Yeah, DTW is the big mess. Lots of guys went 330 to 320/73B. Some MSP330. NYC and ATL both have half of their 330B displaced to NB A. Will be very curious to see how the DTW thing plays out. Will they chose to commute to WB B or stay NB B in DTW. I changed my bid to any 330B vs a % qualifier.

Anyone have any opinion or experience of what % you start to see some consistent buy offs for IOE? Trying to decide to go to WB and increase QoL significantly or stay 320B and hopefully start seeing some line check airman trips and get bought off.

Careful with the 330 expecting OE buys. I’m pretty sure you still have to ride along on that fleet.
