We had 14 trips in OT yesterday. Now down to 5. I got called, while on a trip, 3 times by the IA bot.

I got rerouted too yesterday. Domicile layover now to ATL, then MCO. then overnight, then ATL then DH. back to base. Lost my 30 hour layover. Now have a 11 hour one in MCO.

I feel you fish. I read you're earlier posts too. I'm right there with you. We MUST do something about these schedules and re- routes. It's out of control.

Fleet is 7ER.

Oh, live one time zone to the west? You’re now up at 2:45 am on your body clock. Oh and by the way, your arrival time the two previous nights were around midnight so good luck getting to sleep at 8 pm! I haven’t tried the international game yet, but I’ve certainly felt the domestic beat down.
I agree I did the up for 24 hours commute on each end with old rest rules reduced sleep then redeye home for 7 years... now I bid not travel east of the Mississippi and get normal sleep every layover practically. Sure irs not exotic but my paid for delta one family vacations are a lot more exotic then redeye 24h layover cargo hold rest going to 3rd world south America or African countries with armed escorts that cant be trusted

As Andy Bernard would say, “Nailed it!”

Not a SWA guy, but I think if they keep you within the duty window of the original day, then no premium. If they move the duty period up (earlier report) or it extends past the original end of the duty period, then I think it's 1.5x for the whole day for the move up, and 1.5 for any duty legs that go past the back end. I also think their penalties "stack", which can drive the multiplier way up.

The biggest difference I see between the two systems is that at SWA, they just assume reroutes & trip changes are going to happen, and pay it out automatically. Our system has a higher penalty with the idea of discouraging the practice.

Reroute language is arguably my most important concern next contract with regards to QOL item bucket lists.
This!! 100% agree with all of this.

I’m absolutely a team player. I understand the business and know reroutes happen for number legitimate reasons. But short staffing, ridiculous rotations and min turn times are not valid reasons.

hahaha! True enough. I guess I chose my displacement to ATL. Can’t get back to DTW fast enough! Someone on here once said, “Your career improves directly to how far you are based from Atlanta” and they were right.
