Anyone hearing any rumors from "top men" on the timing of the next AE? Seems like canceling some displacements would lead to some training freeing up sooner than expected, it's been to quiet lately.

No point in revealing our cards too soon before the free stimulus comes through. I bet we hear more end of March or April.

The 767-400 has great economics for “short-haul” long haul ie flights under 5,000 miles. Probably why you see it a lot on Heathrow routes. Barring Airbus offering “fall on the floor” pricing for the 330NEO, the 765 category likely will be here for a whil

I get what you are saying, but I’m not sure I’d call it a niche fleet. We have 21 764’s, 50% more than the
15 350’s. Granted, 20 more 350’s are on order, someday...

I think we have divested all the “whole fleets” we are going to in the near term. Medium term, the 717 seems to be the next to go.

Thanks. I couldn’t think of the right word but “niche” popped into my brain

Good news is its a matter of when not if the 787 arrives at Delta. We certainly have a lot of simulator bays freeing up (777,MD88/90, [717/767 soon?])

Pre Covid it seemed to do well on the NYC/ATL-western Europe business markets (LHR, ZRH, BRU from what I remember). Pretty hefty ratio of D1 seats for its size. Always a pleasure to nonrev on too! Hey maybe we can grab the dozen or so United have

The 767-300ER and the 717 are being retired. Not sure what's not true at all about my statement aside from by fleet I meant 767

because you said the ER fleet...the 757s are sticking around for a while and the ERs for at least another 3 years. They have already unretired some of the retired ERs
