What's the minimum time for training to be put on the schedule? I was under the impression it was 15 days, 30 for MD? Is this correct?

I had a van driver refuse a dollar coin because he thought it was fake.

Which gives me an idea. I should see if I can track down a bag of Susan B Anthony dollar coins. They're pretty much the size of a quarter anyway :D

15 days for AE/VD, 25 days for MD, 30 days' notice of MD conversion. To force you to bid around training in PBS it must be posted before the bid window opens. Otherwise they must overlay it on your awarded schedule unless you accept a proffer to have it in PBS.

So 7 days? Just assigned for next week. It's a requal from reinstatement.

Call the alpa office and ask for the training committee to be sure, but that sounds ok to me.

How 'bout a Fresca?

Or......grab a $10 roll of Canadian quarters which will only cost you $7.87 US but are pretty much the same size as US quarters. They'll never know the difference, eh? 🤣

Just did my special requal and asked training committee this exact question. They can schedule it over any of your on-call days or rotations dropped due to NQ. Anything else is a proffer.

Deltabook, in the super-secret UNA group.

Crew Resources clarified that an Affected Pilot (A.P.) would remain an A.P. until day 1 of training. So in your example...if another AE came out while the plug was awaiting training from the January AE, a more senior pilot could bid into a category ahead of the the junior pilot. Once that junior pilot reports for training, a more senior pilot who is still on A.P. list would have their bid considered after.
Haven't reported for training=Affected Pilot
Reported for training=Active Pilot
Active pilots bid ahead of Affected Pilots

So an affected pilot can be awarded something back to the line, not have training scheduled in time before another AE, and get bumped off and back to affected?
